Ibu Shinji stared at the kitten in his hands. Moments ago, the poor kitten had fallen into the drain and while Shinji was debating to himself as to whether he should save the kitten or not, Momoshiro Takeshi, a regular from Seishun Gakuen had came by, rescued it and then ran off.

    "Why is Momoshiro-kun such a show off? I was about to save the kitten first and then he had come and take my credit. Well, he should not rush in like that, he should plan carefully since the current is so strong... And now what am I supposed to do with this kitten? I could bring home I guess and..." as Shinji continued ranting, he heard a feminine voice coming towards him.

    "Liebe, where are you? Liebe?"

Shinji looked up and saw a brunette running around, her eyes were filled with tears; she seemed to be looking for something. The kitten in Shinji's arms struggled itself free and ran towards the crying girl. Upon seeing the mewing kitten, the brunette picked it up and hugged it tightly. It took her awhile to realize that Shinji was staring at her.

"Is that your kitten? You should be more careful with it... it fell into the drain and nearly drowned...and well... somehow it got into my arms..." For the first time in his life, Shinji found himself unable to continue ranting like he had always did. He was, for once, tongue-tied. The girl walked towards Shinji and gave him a grateful kiss on his cheeks, much to the tennis prodigy's surprise.

    "Thanks for saving Liebe... her name means 'love' in German actually. Oh and my name's ... what's yours?" asked with a smile.

    "Ibu...Ibu Shinji." The violet haired boy stammered.

And that was how Shinji had first met , and a month later, they started dating. There was something from which attracted the tennis prodigy. A smile which radiates happiness. It was something that was missing from Shinji's life, for his parents were always busy with work.

But, getting 's attention can be quite a task as Shinji found himself fighting for his girlfriend's affection. His rival? Who else but a certain tabby cat name Liebe. Shinji never liked the thought of sharing with anyone else let alone a kitten. Yet, most of the smiles from went to Liebe, not to mention the hugs, kisses and the bed it shares with her. It did not even help with the fact that Liebe is a male kitten. Somehow Shinji's situation reminds him of the documentaries on discovery channel where the males of all animal species would vie for the female's affection.

The violet haired boy watched in disgust as Liebe nonchalantly walked towards and jumped onto her laps, rubbing his head against her stomach. Shinji could feel the fire raging within him. He wondered why that little brat had not drowned back then. Momoshiro should not have saved that arrogant creature in the first place.

    "Shinji, doesn't Liebe look adorable when he does that?" cooed. A silent sigh escaped from the tennis prodigy as he stood up from where he was sitting and walked over to his girlfriend. Giving a smirk, he picked up Liebe and locked him inside the brunette's room. was about to go over to let the kitten out when Shinji pulled her towards him and make her sit on his lap.

    "It's about time you understand who is your boyfriend ." Shinji said in a low serious tone. chuckled, sensing the jealous tone in her boyfriend's words.

    "Someone's been jealous with a kitten, this is interesting." laughed.

    "It's all your fault... you gave all your attention to Liebe; can you consider your boyfriend's feelings? You are always smiling at him, kissing him and even share your bed with him. Jealous? I think all boyfriends would be jealous when their girlfriends love their cats and dogs more than them... and..."

rolled her eyes and placed her palms on Shinji's cheeks.

    "Stop!" growled as she leaned forward to kiss her boyfriend's lips. She had to admit, although she had been dating Shinji for quite some time, she is still not quite use to the tennis prodigy's mumbling. Shinji let out a sigh in defeat and pulled closer.

    "You know, as much as I love Liebe, you are definitely more important than him. You can't possibly ask me to have a kitten for a boyfriend do you? Besides, Liebe will not love me like you do, or look after me when I am sick. Though sometimes you do act like a cat... and I mean the possessive and dominant side." grinned and wrapped her arms around the violet haired boy's neck. A faint smile shone on the tennis prodigy's face as he planted a soft kiss on his girlfriend's forehead.

    "Oh... I don't mind being a cat... then I'll be able to let you spoil me with your gentle touches and affectionate kisses. About the possessive part... hmm yes I am very possessive... even when my rival is Liebe, I'll do anything to win." Shinji tried to give a serious expression, which failed as started giggling.

    "You don't really need to be a cat to get spoilt by me... I'm spoiling you now aren't I? Ne, shouldn't you be the one to spoil me then?" The brunette gave a small pout.

    "Yada... getting spoilt by you is the happiest thing any man can wish for so I rather get spoilt by you and get drowned by the love you showered upon me." Shinji leant towards and kissed her passionately. A smile appeared on 's face. Perhaps she really did spoilt Shinji too much.

    "Hey... I think you can let Liebe out now..." Shinji said as they parted for air.

    "Oh... that can wait... let me spoil you first." smirked and pulled Shinji towards her for another kiss.

A little jealousy proves a thousand words for love.
